The Ramones tribute album, set for a spring release, is just about completed. The Offspring, Green Day, Rob Zombie, and Eddie Vedder are among the acts that have completed tracks for the collection.

So far, Zombie recorded "Blitzkrieg Bop," Vedder laid down "I Believe In Miracles," the Red Hot Chili Peppers contributed "Havana Affair," Offspring pumped out "I Wanna Be Sedated," Green Day recorded "Outsider," and Rancid tracked "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker." More artists will be announced shortly as tracks are completed.

Shortly after the death of Ramones singer Joey Ramone, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong told LAUNCH that "the Ramones have influenced anything...from like watered-down alternative rock to the most hardcore punk rock band you can think of. They have pretty much influenced everything that could come after them. If it wasn't for them, my band wouldn't exist. They're one of those bands that definitely had a direct influence or impact on the way we even look at songwriting."
